US Central Command Names Targets of Latest Strikes on Iran
The US Central Command announced another round of strikes on Iranian military sites, citing attacks by Iranian-backed groups on US soldiers in Jordan on July 17.
The US Central Command (CENTCOM) has completed another round of strikes on Iran under the orders of the commander-in-chief. According to CENTCOM's statement, for the eighth consecutive night, US forces successfully struck Iranian military targets.
The targets included coastal surveillance and air defense installations, naval forces, as well as missile and drone storage facilities, aimed at further weakening Iran's military capability. US forces also struck units of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps that carried out attacks on American soldiers in Jordan on July 17.
CENTCOM added that over 50,000 US military personnel – men and women – are conducting operations in the Middle East, maintaining high vigilance, focus, combat effectiveness, and readiness to act.
As a reminder, on the night of Sunday, July 19, US military forces carried out airstrikes on Iran in response to attacks on American soldiers in Jordan.
