Limited edition US passport with Trump’s photo released for 250th birthday
The Trump administration has unveiled a limited-edition US passport featuring President Donald Trump’s image, available from July 6 only in Washington, DC, while supplies last.

The Trump administration has introduced a new limited-edition US passport design that includes a photo of President Donald Trump to commemorate America’s 250th birthday. In a social media post on Friday, Trump shared an image of the redesigned passport pages, showing himself with fists on the Resolute Desk, the Declaration of Independence in the background, and his signature below.
The passports will become available on July 6 and only while supplies last, according to the US State Department. This is the latest in a series of moves by the president to mark American institutions—including federal buildings, websites, and documents—with his name or likeness. Access is very limited: citizens cannot apply online or by mail; they must make an in-person appointment at the passport agency in Washington, DC, or at a select number of special acceptance events. Currently, only two such events are listed on the department’s website, both at the Washington Passport Agency. More events may be added later.
Current US passports feature historical scenes like the Moon landing and symbols such as the Statue of Liberty. This is the first time a living, sitting president has appeared on a US passport. The commemorative passport was first announced in April with a slightly different design showing only Trump’s face and a gold signature, without the number “250.” The US Mint has also announced plans for a commemorative gold coin featuring Trump for the 250th anniversary. Trump is set to become the first sitting president to have his signature on American banknotes. Additionally, Trump has sought to leave a permanent mark on Washington, DC, including renaming the Kennedy Center (later reversed) and proposing an “Arc de Trump” triumphal arch inspired by the Arc de Triomphe in Paris.
