US Military: Iran Attempted to Attack Commercial Ships in Strait of Hormuz
The US Central Command reported that Iran launched several drones against commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz, but US forces shot down all of them.

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on social media platform X that Iran launched several one-way attack drones in an attempt to strike commercial ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz. Over the past hours, US armed forces downed all of them.
CENTCOM clarified that shipping through the strait continues, and the international trade corridor remains open for transit.
Prior to this incident, US President Donald Trump stated that a deal with Iran could be signed this weekend in Europe, while Iran's Foreign Minister said an agreement is "closer than ever." Trump also canceled previously announced strikes against Iran, as negotiation teams had approved the "final points" of the accord.
