Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha met with US Chargé d'Affaires Julie Davis on the occasion of the end of her diplomatic mission in Ukraine. During the meeting, the officials discussed the current security situation and peace efforts.

Sybiha emphasized the importance of the active role and leadership of the United States in advancing the peace process and achieving a comprehensive and lasting peace. He expressed gratitude to Julie Davis for her personal contribution to the development of active political dialogue between Ukraine and the United States, as well as for effective cooperation during this important period for Ukraine.

The minister thanked the United States for its unwavering support for Ukraine and its people, highly appreciating her personal contribution to the development of Ukrainian-American strategic partnership. He stressed the importance of maintaining a high level of cooperation and making proactive decisions that would bring Ukraine closer to a comprehensive and lasting peace.

Sybiha wished Julie Davis success in her future diplomatic work and congratulated the United States on the approaching 250th anniversary of independence, wishing the American people peace and prosperity.

Davis's predecessor, former US Ambassador Bridget Brink, left her post in April 2025. She later openly stated that she decided to leave due to the foreign policy of President Donald Trump's administration and confirmed that the scandalous confrontation between Zelensky and Trump in the Oval Office was one of the reasons for her resignation. After stepping down, Brink decided to run for a seat in the House of Representatives in her home state of Michigan.
