The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on social media platform X that it completed the latest wave of strikes on Iran at 10:15 p.m. Eastern Time on July 13. During the five-hour mission, US forces successfully struck military targets on Iranian territory, including in Bushehr, Chabahar, Jask, Konarak, Abu Musa, and Bandar Abbas.

Precision strikes targeted coastal defense systems, missile launchers, unmanned aerial vehicle facilities, and naval assets to limit Iran's ability to attack commercial shipping in the region. CENTCOM noted that over 50,000 US troops are currently deployed in the Middle East, maintaining combat readiness.

The strikes were ordered by President Donald Trump to degrade Iran's capabilities to attack civilian shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. In response, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched strikes on US bases in Jordan and Bahrain on July 13.
