Lithuania's Ministry of Defence has confirmed that the United States plans to supply the country with AN/PVS-14 night vision devices worth close to €11 million.

The US government has signed a contract valued at $12.78 million, or approximately €10.94 million, with American company Nightline Inc. Under the terms of the agreement, the equipment must be delivered to Lithuania by December 31, 2030.

According to the Lithuanian defence ministry, no funds from the country's national defence budget are being used to cover the purchase. The contract has already been signed, and its implementation is being administered directly by the United States government rather than by Lithuanian authorities.

The arrangement reflects continued US military cooperation with Lithuania in the defence sector, with Washington handling both the financing and administration of the delivery process.
