US Demands Russia Immediately Sign Peace Agreement, Says Time Not on Moscow’s Side
US Deputy UN Representative Dan Negri called on Russia to immediately return to negotiations and conclude a peace agreement, stating that time in this war is not on Moscow's side.

At an emergency UN Security Council meeting on June 22, requested by Ukraine, US Deputy Permanent Representative Dan Negri reiterated Washington’s unwavering support for Ukraine. He strongly condemned Russian attacks on critical infrastructure and cultural heritage, particularly strikes on the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.
Negri emphasized that the war has lasted too long and must end through diplomacy. Citing President Donald Trump’s statements at the G7 summit last week, he declared: "Russia must make a deal. Time is not on Moscow’s side."
He noted that Russia loses about 40,000 soldiers per month (killed and wounded) and its economy is in dire straits, while Ukraine innovates on the battlefield. "Diplomacy and negotiations, not further bloodshed, are the only answer. Nothing else will stop these senseless killings," the diplomat stated.
