Trump Orders Cancellation of Non-Disclosure Agreements to Boost UFO Investigation

U.S. President Donald Trump has directed federal agencies to void non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) for former government employees and contractors who are prepared to provide information relevant to investigations into unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP). The move does not constitute a mass declassification of data but rather allows former personnel to contact the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) or the presidential task force PURSUE without risking violation of their previous NDAs.

According to administration officials, the decision aims to remove obstacles for potential witnesses who may have remained silent due to fears of losing security clearances or facing legal repercussions. Any information obtained will be vetted through existing declassification procedures, and some of it may be released to the public.

This step continues the Trump administration's policy of transparency regarding UAP-related documents. Interest in the topic has grown in recent years following congressional investigations and claims by former intelligence officials about possible concealment of such programs. However, the Pentagon and AARO state that they have found no confirmed evidence of extraterrestrial technology or secret government study of non-human craft.

Earlier, on May 8, the Pentagon began releasing government documents on UFOs after Trump ordered their declassification. In February, Trump announced on Truth Social that he would order the release of these files shortly after former President Barack Obama discussed the possibility of aliens in a podcast. Obama clarified that he was referring to the high probability of life existing in space. Previously, the Pentagon had spent millions of dollars on UFO studies.
