A student in the United States, inspired by the popular American TV series "Dexter", prepared a room for killing and then committed a crime. Its severity is reflected in the fact that the case shocked even experienced investigators. The show's title character, Dexter, is a killer, so the case is described as an attempt to become a "real" Dexter.
Entertainment and obsession
The source notes that for some viewers, series and films are simply entertainment, while for others watching can turn into a dangerous obsession. The student described belongs to the second group: he cited the series as inspiration and prepared a special room intended for killings.
What the source does not say
The available source excerpt does not give the student's name, age or the location of the crime. It also does not say how many victims there were, who they were, or how legal proceedings have gone. These details are therefore not included, and they can be clarified once more confirmed information about the case is available.
