American and Iranian negotiators are meeting in Switzerland on Sunday, June 21, to work out key details of a temporary agreement to end the war of the United States and Israel against Iran. The US delegation is led by Vice President JD Vance and includes Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner and special envoy Steve Witkoff. Iran is represented by Majlis Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, according to Deutsche Welle.

Mediators from Pakistan and Qatar will also attend the technical-level talks. Vance expressed optimism about progress on Iran's nuclear program and a ceasefire in southern Lebanon.

Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Bagai told state television IRIB that Tehran has no plans for further talks after today's meeting. According to him, Iranian negotiators will first hold bilateral meetings with the Pakistani and Qatari mediator delegations, followed by a meeting with the US delegation in the afternoon.

Iran stated on June 21 that the ongoing conflict in Lebanon between Israel and the radical group Hezbollah will be the main agenda item in the Switzerland talks. "The Zionist regime continues to violate its commitments in Lebanon, and this issue will be the main topic of today's talks," Bagai said in a video message distributed by state agency IRNA. He added that access to frozen or blocked Iranian assets and discussions on issuing the necessary licenses for Iranian oil sales are also on the agenda.
