US and Iran reach agreement to end war
The United States and Iran have agreed to a peace deal that will bring an immediate and permanent halt to military operations on all fronts, including Lebanon. A signing ceremony is set for June 19 in Switzerland.

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced that the United States and Iran had reached a peace agreement that provides for an "immediate and permanent" cessation of military operations on all fronts, including Lebanon. Sharif posted on X that a deal has been reached, and an official signing ceremony will be held on June 19 in Switzerland.
US President Donald Trump confirmed the development on Sunday, his 80th birthday, stating that "The Deal with the Islamic Republic of Iran is now complete." The accord ends more than three months of conflict in the Middle East, following weeks of discussions and back-and-forth attacks. As late as Sunday, Iran had threatened retaliation for Israel's deadly strikes on Lebanon.
