US and Iran Continue Technical Talks; No Direct Meetings Expected Soon
Qatar's Foreign Ministry has stated that technical-level talks between the US and Iran will continue, but no direct negotiations or high-level meetings are planned in the near future.

Qatar's Foreign Ministry has confirmed that it will continue to act as a mediator between the United States and Iran, in an effort to resolve the conflict between Washington and Tehran. According to ministry spokesperson Majid al Ansari, technical-level talks between US and Iranian representatives are ongoing. However, no direct talks between the parties or meetings at a high level are expected in the near future.
This announcement follows a meeting between Qatari diplomats and US representatives. Qatar's Foreign Ministry emphasized its commitment to facilitating dialogue between Washington and Tehran. The current talks are at a technical level, meaning they focus on specific issues rather than seeking high-level political agreements.
The situation indicates slow progress in the negotiations, with the parties still unable to resolve their differences. Qatar's role as a mediator is considered crucial in maintaining communication channels between the US and Iran.
