US and Israel elections: new leaders, same policies?
A video report by Al Jazeera says settlement expansion on occupied Palestinian land continues regardless of who leads Israel or the United States.
An Al Jazeera news video examines whether elections in the United States and Israel can change either country's policy toward the occupied Palestinian territories.
The central point of the report is that Israeli governments change and US presidents come and go, yet the expansion of Israeli settlements on occupied Palestinian land goes on. On this view, a change of leadership has not by itself altered the policy.
