US Launches Fresh Strikes on Iran; Iran Responds with Attacks on US Bases
The US military conducted a fourth wave of strikes against Iran on Sunday evening, hitting dozens of targets including air defense systems and missile launchers. Iran retaliated by attacking US bases in Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait.

The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Sunday at midnight Latvian time that it had begun another wave of strikes against Iran. The attack involved aviation, warships, attack drones, and for the first time, sea drones. The strikes hit dozens of targets, including Iranian air defense systems, coastal radars, missile and drone launch positions, and Revolutionary Guard speedboats.
This marks the fourth US attack on Iran since hostilities resumed on Wednesday night. In response, Iran's Revolutionary Guard announced that it had attacked US military bases in Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait. Iran's official news agency IRNA claimed that the strikes targeted Prince Hassan Air Base in Jordan, a US drone command center in Bahrain, and Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait.
UN Secretary-General António Guterres expressed deep concern on X about the serious escalation and warned that a full-scale war would have catastrophic consequences.
