US Vice President JD Vance arrived in Switzerland on Sunday, marking the start of a fresh round of high-stakes negotiations with Iranian leadership. The talks are aimed at reaching a final agreement to end the war in the Middle East, following a framework deal signed last week. Negotiators now have a 60-day window to work out the technical details. However, the diplomatic efforts face immediate challenges. Iran's joint military command announced that the Strait of Hormuz has been closed again, citing Israeli attacks in Lebanon and accusing the US of "bad faith" and a "clear breach of its commitments" by failing to end the war. This move comes after US President Donald Trump warned that the US could impose tolls on the Strait of Hormuz if a final deal is not reached. Iran's negotiating team has already departed for Switzerland to engage in discussions on implementing the framework agreement.
