The two sides signed a framework agreement last week, and negotiators are now in a 60-day sprint to finalize technical details.
US President Donald Trump has warned that he could impose tolls on the Strait of Hormuz if negotiators fail to secure a deal. Iran's negotiating team has also departed for Switzerland to discuss implementation of the agreement.
Meanwhile, Iran's joint military command announced that the Strait of Hormuz has been closed again, citing Israeli attacks in Lebanon and what it called US "bad faith" and "clear breach of its commitments" for not ending the war.
