Mārtiņš Ķeņģis, who was appointed interim chairman of SIA «Eiropas Dzelzceļa līnijas» in April, has stepped down. He has been replaced on an interim basis by the company's project manager Dāvis Blaus.

The leadership of SIA «Eiropas Dzelzceļa līnijas» (EDzL), the company responsible for implementing the Rail Baltica project in Latvia, has changed again. Mārtiņš Ķeņģis, who was appointed interim chairman of the board on April 7 this year, has left his position. He has been replaced temporarily by Dāvis Blaus, who previously served as EDzL's project manager. This marks the second change in leadership in a short period — Ķeņģis held the post for only about three months. The exact reasons for his departure have not been disclosed. The change comes at a time when the Rail Baltica project continues to face various challenges.
