Former airBaltic interim CEO's salary revealed: nearly €350,000 per year

Pauls Cālītis, who served as airBaltic's interim CEO last year, declared income of €348,868 from the airline. He also owns significant financial instruments and real estate.

Pauls Cālītis, the former Chief Operating Officer of Latvia's national airline airBaltic, earned €348,868 from the company last year, according to his official declaration. He served as interim CEO from April 7 to December 1, 2024, after the previous CEO, Martin Gauss, was dismissed.

In addition to his salary, Cālītis declared income of nearly €17,895 from the farm 'Jušķēni', dividends of €101, and bank interest of €1.34. He also reported other income of €101,440.

The declaration shows that at the end of the year, Cālītis owned two real estate properties and a building in Riga, land and buildings in Pāvilosta, and land in Sakas parish. In co-ownership with his spouse, he owned an apartment, two land plots, and a building in Riga, as well as land in Vircavas parish. He also rented an apartment in Riga.

He had a 2022 Audi E-Tron and a 2013 BMW at his disposal. He saved €69,771 in cashless funds and €12,400 in cash. He also held financial instruments worth €439,741 and approximately €214,949 in US dollars. Outstanding loans exceeded €587,900.

In 2024, Cālītis earned €344,582 as COO. He left airBaltic on April 30 this year and started as CEO of Portugal's euroAtlantic Airways on May 18.
