Exhibition “Past in Present” Opens for Imants Lancmanis’ 85th Birthday
The exhibition dedicated to the 85th birthday of renowned Latvian artist and art historian Imants Lancmanis opened at the Ola Foundation in Riga, gathering many well-known Latvian personalities.

In Riga, at the Ola Foundation cultural space, the exhibition “Past in Present” was opened in a festive atmosphere to mark the 85th birthday of the eminent artist, art historian and public figure Imants Lancmanis. The event drew many well-known Latvians, including actress Rēzija Kalniņa, entrepreneur Ilze Auzere, and charity organization “Ziedot.lv” director Rūta Dimanta. Guests enjoyed wine and warm conversations, while Lancmanis himself greeted visitors in high spirits.
The exhibition offers a unique opportunity to explore various stages of Lancmanis’ creative career. Alongside his latest works, a broad retrospective selection of his oeuvre is on display. The pieces have been loaned from several leading Latvian art institutions and private collections, including the Latvian National Museum of Art, Rundāle Palace Museum, Ģederts Eliass Jelgava History and Art Museum, Zuzeum Art Centre, and the ABLV Bank art collection.
