On July 24, the art gallery "Stella" celebrated the opening of a significant cultural and historical book. The monograph, written by art scholar Kristīne Ogle and published by "Dienas Grāmata", is devoted to the painter Margrieta Celmiņa.

Celmiņa is recognized as an outstanding representative of Vilhelms Purvītis's painting school. Until now, her name has been unjustly forgotten in Latvian art history. This new work aims to fill that gap, offering an in-depth look at the artist's oeuvre and life.

The monograph is a valuable contribution to the exploration and promotion of Latvia's cultural heritage. It is now available to the public, marking another step in remembering the remarkable figures who have shaped Latvia's art scene.
