Jaguar Type 01 interior revealed: minimalism and four separate seats

Jaguar has released the first images of the interior of its upcoming all-electric GT model, the Type 01. It will be the company's first fully electric production car and the design continues the brand's radical new direction. The four-door GT is based on the new Jaguar Electric Architecture platform. Its world premiere is set for October 2026, with the official event planned for October 6 in New York.

Inside, the most striking feature is the unusual layout. The cabin has four individual seats separated by a massive central console that runs the full length of the interior. Light textures, surfaces resembling natural minerals and golden accents give the space a feel closer to a modern living room than a conventional car cabin. The number of screens and physical controls is kept to a minimum.

One of the most distinctive details is a digital rear-view monitor, which replaces the traditional mirror. As with the concept car, the production Type 01 is also likely to do without a conventional rear window.

Jaguar has not yet confirmed any technical specifications. Reports suggest the car will have a battery of around 120 kWh and a driving range of up to 770 kilometres on a single charge, but these figures remain unofficial. More details are expected closer to the official premiere on October 6 in New York.
