Fastest goal of World Cup: Saibari fires Morocco past Scotland

Ismael Saibari scored the fastest goal of the World Cup so far, netting after just 71 seconds as Morocco defeated Scotland 1-0 on Friday. The 25-year-old, who was born in Spain and raised in Belgium, is reportedly close to a €55 million move from PSV Eindhoven to Bayern Munich. His clinical finish from Brahim Diaz's pass settled a physical contest at Gillette Stadium near Boston, watched by 64,146 fans.

Morocco now have four points from two Group C games and are well placed to advance to the last 32. Scotland, ranked 40th in the world, failed to seriously test goalkeeper Yassine Bounou and have only one point.
