Estonian police have reported that 70-year-old Victor, who went missing from his home in the Ahtme district of Kohtla-Järve on July 9, has been found and handed over to medical personnel.

According to relatives, Victor left home on Thursday, July 9, around 1:00 PM. On the evening of July 10, police turned to the media for help in locating him.

The search involved police officers, border patrols, a drone management team, and a patrol boat, who began searching immediately after receiving the report. Since the elderly man was captured on camera around noon in the Alutaguse area, and attentive people had seen him walking along the road, the ground search began from that location, police said at 11:15 PM on July 10.

"While patrols combed the area, the drone team scanned the area from the air and soon spotted a person moving near the Jaama channel. The man was found in a swampy area, escorted to a border guard boat, and taken to a border outpost. At the outpost, he was handed over to medics," added the authorities.

Police thanked everyone who noticed the man and reported it to the emergency number.
