In round 26 of Latvia's Virsliga, played at Skonto Stadium, Auda comfortably defeated Tukums 2000 3-0, continuing a strong recent run of scoring form.

The home side took the lead after half an hour when 18-year-old Endrjuss Apija scored his first-ever Virsliga goal. After a pass into the box from Bartelemi Djedju, Apija created space for himself and fired a powerful left-footed shot into the near corner.

Shortly afterward, goalkeeper Nils Puriņš kept Auda ahead by deflecting a shot from Davis Valmiers onto the post. Late in the first half, Valmiers beat Puriņš with a fine individual run and finish into the far corner, but the goal was disallowed after the referee ruled he had handled the ball.

Lead doubled in the second half

In the 64th minute, as Tukums defenders tried to clear a cross out of the penalty area, Jevgenijs Miņins struck a volley from around 20 meters into the bottom corner, making it 2-0. It was Miņins' second consecutive Virsliga match with a goal, having also scored in a Latvian Cup match against Grobiņa.

The final score was set later in the match when Kadera Konē converted a one-on-one breakaway, making it 3-0.

With the win, Auda has beaten Tukums 2000 in both meetings at home this season, while Tukums won the reverse fixture in June by the same 2-1 scoreline recorded in the away leg. Auda now sits third in the standings after 25 matches with 49 points, behind leaders Riga FC and second-placed RFS. Tukums 2000 remain near the bottom of the table with 20 points.
