"Auda" Achieves Historic Victory Over Romanian Giants FCSB in Conference League

Latvian football club "Auda" secured one of the biggest wins in its history on Thursday, beating Romanian powerhouse FCSB 4:1 in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League and advancing with a 7:3 aggregate score to the third round.

Latvian football club "Auda" achieved one of the most notable successes in its history on Thursday in the UEFA Conference League qualifiers. In the second round, they defeated Romanian giant FCSB 4:1 (1:0 at halftime), winning the two-legged tie 7:3 and progressing to the third round.

The opening goal came in the second minute of first-half stoppage time. Eduards Dašķevičs delivered a pass from the right side, and Barthelemy Diedhiou beat a defender to send a left-footed volley into the left corner, making it 1:0. In the 58th minute, FCSB equalized. Octavian Popescu's corner kick from the left was headed into the right corner by Juan Paulo Fernandes, leveling at 1:1.

Diedhiou restored the lead in the 67th minute. He intercepted the ball on the right flank, dribbled into the penalty area, and struck with his left foot into the left bottom corner – 2:1. In the 84th minute, Kader Koné fired from a few meters outside the box, placing the ball into the right bottom corner to make it 3:1. Deep into stoppage time (90+3), Tins Hrvojs curled a free kick into the right top corner, sealing the final score of 4:1.
