The Supreme Court has begun reviewing a dispute between the manager of an apartment building in Riga and one of its residents. The conflict erupted on December 22, 2022, during a meeting of the building's residents, which was tense from the start. The meeting addressed issues related to building management and finances.

During the discussion, the manager asked a provocative question: "Do you think I am a thief?" In response, the apartment owner repeatedly shouted the word "thief" in front of other attendees. This exchange became the basis for legal proceedings that have now reached the Supreme Court.

According to court documents, the mutual insults were not the only cause of the dispute, but this particular verbal altercation led to the lawsuit. The Supreme Court's decision in this case is yet to be announced.
