Supreme Court orders new review of former Ventspils executive director's claim
The Supreme Court has sent back for re-examination the claim of former Ventspils municipality executive director Juris Krilovskis against the local council, seeking recognition of disciplinary sanction and suspension as unlawful, as well as compensation for lost income and moral damages.
The Kurzeme Regional Court will have to re-examine the claim filed by former Ventspils municipality executive director Juris Krilovskis against the municipal council. Krilovskis asks the court to declare the disciplinary sanction and his suspension from office illegal, and to award lost earnings and moral damages.
According to information obtained by LETA from the Supreme Court, the highest judicial body has decided to send the case back for a new hearing at the Kurzeme Regional Court. This means the appellate court must re-evaluate the circumstances and issue a fresh ruling.
