August ratings: PM's party support grows, 'Stability!' and 'For the Development of Latvia' clear 2% threshold

The latest survey by public opinion research center SKDS shows that support for the 'United List,' the party led by Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs, continued to rise in August. At the same time, popularity declined for the other parties within the ruling coalition.
The survey was conducted between August 13 and 19.
Smaller parties cross the threshold
According to the poll results, two parties that had previously been below the two percent mark managed to cross it this time — 'Stability!' and 'For the Development of Latvia.' The two percent threshold is generally regarded as a meaningful indicator of a party's viability and potential public support, though it is not directly tied to the five percent threshold required to enter the Saeima.
Overall, the survey results point to a shifting political landscape, with divergent trends visible within the ruling coalition — the prime minister's party strengthening its position while other coalition partners lose support.
