Baby keeps sleeping in cot as earthquake shakes Australian home
A magnitude 4.8 earthquake was recorded in Australia's Victoria state early on a Saturday morning. Security camera footage from a home shows a baby continuing to sleep as the building shakes.

A magnitude 4.8 earthquake struck Victoria, a state in southeastern Australia, in the early hours of a Saturday morning. A home security camera captured the moment of the tremors: while the whole building rumbled and swayed, a small baby carried on sleeping peacefully in a cot.
Where the tremors were recorded
According to Geoscience Australia, the country's geoscience agency, the underground tremors were recorded near the town of Leongatha. It lies roughly 130 kilometres southeast of Melbourne, the capital of Victoria.
What the video shows
The footage was posted on the social network Instagram by a user whose home it was filmed in. The camera image shows the strong tremors shaking her house. The force of the impact also rocked the child's cot considerably.
Yet the baby stayed completely calm. The child kept sleeping, merely turning from one side to the other while everything around moved.
The source gives no information about any damage or injuries. It describes only the tremors themselves, their location and the video, in which ordinary sleep continues during an earthquake. The recording shows both how noticeably the quake shook the building and that it did not disturb the baby's rest.
