Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has apologized for comments he made last week on the podcast "Bush Deep," hosted by comedian Nikki Osborne. During the podcast, Albanese was asked a provocative question: to choose among three well-known women — Kylie Minogue, Nicole Kidman, and Ronda Burchmore — indicating whom he would marry, go on a date with, and have an intimate relationship with.

Initially, Albanese tried to avoid answering, noting that he had recently married. However, he later said, "Well, obviously, Kylie." When the host asked if he would marry, sleep with, and date Minogue, he replied, "All of the above. She's great."

The comments sparked widespread criticism in Australian political circles and society. On Monday, Albanese released a brief statement saying, "I unequivocally apologize for these comments."

While Albanese is on a visit to Pacific Island nations, Acting Prime Minister Richard Marles is in charge. In an interview with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), Marles emphasized that the government is "fully committed to strengthening the role of women in society." He noted that "sometimes politicians participate in other interviews as well, not just this one" and highlighted that Albanese's government is the first in Australian history to have a cabinet with an equal number of women and men.
