AWE 2026: Snap, Qualcomm, Google to Announce AR Glasses, Android XR Updates
AWE 2026, billed as the world's largest spatial computing event, will feature keynotes from Snap CEO Evan Spiegel, Qualcomm, and Google, with expected announcements on AR glasses, Android XR, and AI. The liveblog starts June 16 at 9:30 AM EDT from Long Beach.

The Augmented World Expo (AWE) 2026, which organizers call "the world's largest spatial computing event," is set to host major announcements from technology leaders. Snap CEO Evan Spiegel will deliver a 25-minute keynote at 12:30 PM ET, followed by Qualcomm's Ziad Asghar and then Google's Hugo Swart and Juston Payne, each also speaking for 25 minutes. The event takes place at the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center.
Engadget's senior reporter Karissa Bell is on-site and will provide live coverage starting at 9:30 AM ET on June 16. This year, attendees and viewers can expect news on augmented reality (AR) glasses, Android XR, and artificial intelligence (AI). The expo has grown in prominence as more companies choose it as a platform for revealing new products and technologies. While the event slogan "You'll Feel Spatial. We Promise" invites playful skepticism, the scheduled keynotes suggest substantive updates in the spatial computing space.
