Azov Says House Near Kyiv Held Mobilised Troops and Soldiers Who Left Units Without Permission
The Azov 1st Corps of Ukraine's National Guard has commented on disorder outside a house in Petropavlivska Borshchahivka, Kyiv region. It says mobilised soldiers and servicemen who left their units without permission were staying there, and four of them were sent to hospital with injuries.

The 1st Corps "Azov" of Ukraine's National Guard issued a statement on 2 November about disorder outside a house in the village of Petropavlivska Borshchahivka in the Kyiv region, where National Guard servicemen are staying. The episode concerns the conditions in which mobilised troops and soldiers detained after leaving their units without authorisation (known in Ukraine by the abbreviation SZCh) are being held.
What Azov says
The corps says unverified information spread on social media that servicemen were allegedly tortured at the temporary deployment site of military unit 3121. Civilians then gathered near the military compound demanding that the mobilised troops inside be handed over. After being refused, they blocked the compound's operations and tried to enter without authorisation, according to the statement.
National Guard commander Major General Oleksandr Pivnenko let relatives of some servicemen onto the premises and showed them the conditions in which mobilised troops and detained absentees await assignment to units and further service.
The corps said four of the servicemen detained after leaving their units had injuries and were sent to hospital for examination. National Guard command, together with law enforcement, has taken the investigation under its control. If unlawful violence is established, those responsible will be punished, it said.
Azov stressed that it protects the lives and health of its troops both at the front and in the rear. The corps command condemns unlawful actions against servicemen, while warning citizens against obstructing military units and urging them to trust official statements.
