Biden Provides Update on Cancer Treatment and Announces Memoir Release
Former US President Joe Biden said his cancer treatment is going well and announced that his memoirs about his presidency will be published in November.

Former US President Joe Biden on Wednesday revealed that his cancer treatment is progressing well and announced that his memoirs covering his time in office will be released in November.
In a video posted on X, Biden said that since leaving office, he has spent a lot of time with his family and has been undergoing treatment for cancer. "I have been diagnosed with cancer, and I am receiving treatment, and it is going very well," the former president said, thanking well-wishers.
Recall that in May 2025, four months after his term ended, Biden disclosed that he had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer that had spread to his bones and that he had started radiation therapy.
The memoirs, titled "Promise Me, America," are set for release on November 17. Biden stated that the book will cover key events during his presidency from 2021 to 2025, including the January 6, 2021 attack on the Capitol, Russia's renewed invasion of Ukraine, and the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan.
The book will also explain why he decided to run for a second term and why he ultimately withdrew his candidacy. At age 81, he became the oldest US president in history, but after a poor debate performance against Trump and pressure from Democrats, he stepped aside, paving the way for Kamala Harris, who lost the election to Trump.
