Balinskis on Vilmanis's four points: his girlfriend arrived in Florida yesterday
Florida Panthers defenceman Uvis Balinskis praised teammate Eduards Vilmanis's four-point NHL game. Vilmanis became the first Latvian forward to record four points in a single NHL game.

Florida Panthers player Uvis Balinskis has commented on teammate Eduards Vilmanis's performance in the latest NHL regular-season game. The NHL is the North American top-level ice hockey league. In that match Vilmanis scored two goals and added two assists.
Balinskis called the game fantastic and flawless. He joked that Vilmanis's girlfriend arrived in Florida yesterday, so the strong performance came as no surprise.
A Latvian record
Vilmanis became the first Latvian forward to collect four points in one NHL regular-season game. He thereby matched the Latvian record held by defenceman Sandis Ozolins. Vilmanis's goals were the Florida team's first and fourth of the game.
Balinskis on his teammate
Balinskis recalled that Vilmanis already played very well last season after joining the team. At the start of this season, in Balinskis's view, things may have been a little difficult, but sitting out one game in the stands may have helped. Vilmanis plays on a good line alongside good players, and Balinskis is pleased that his teammate is finally scoring.
Attitude to work
Talking about himself, Balinskis stressed the importance of patience and the work put in during practice. He said he tries to keep the right mindset and considers it the most important thing. In his words, one must work hard, practise and wait for one's turn. The Florida Panthers' official account on X also published his remarks.
