Balodis leads after four rounds at disc golf world championship

Latvian disc golf player Rainers Balodis took the lead in the Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA) world championship after Saturday's fourth round, held in Milford, USA.

Men's competition

Competing in the A division, Balodis completed 18 baskets in round four with a score of 53 throws, 13 strokes under par. The performance puts him in first place in the overall standings.

Meanwhile, Edgars Saulītis, competing in the B division, finished the fourth round with 72 throws, seven strokes over par. He currently shares 142nd place overall among a field of 208 athletes.

Women's competition

In the women's event, Latvia is represented by Elizabete Pēkšena, who completed the fourth round with 66 throws, four strokes under par. That result places her in a share of 17th overall.

Another Latvian competitor, Sintija Klezberga, finished the round with 70 throws, exactly matching par. She currently sits in 33rd place among a field of 92 athletes.

The championship consists of four rounds followed by a final round. The event concludes on Sunday.
