Balticovo invests more than 2 million euros in new employee housing
AS "Balticovo" has invested over 2 million euros to convert a Soviet-era unfinished building into a modern apartment block for its employees. The opening ceremony is scheduled for August 5.
Latvian egg producer AS "Balticovo" is continuing its investments not only in production but also in employee welfare, creating a new residential building for its staff. Over 2 million euros have been invested in the project, which involved the conversion of an unfinished building started during the Soviet era in the Bauska region.
The architecture and engineering office SEP was responsible for the project, while construction works were carried out by SEP construction. The renovation resulted in a modern apartment building with landscaped surroundings, including parking spaces, a children's playground, bicycle storage, and relaxation areas.
Toms Auškāps, Head of Communications and Development at Balticovo, stated that the company's development is impossible without people, and the new building will allow attracting specialists from other regions of Latvia. He emphasized that this is an investment in both people's quality of life and the company's future.
Gatis Kauliņš, Executive Director of SEP construction, added that the project was more than just a building conversion – it was an opportunity to create a sustainable and suitable living space where people would feel safe and comfortable.
The grand opening of the building is planned for August 5, and it will be attended by Minister of Welfare Reinis Uzulnieks, Minister of Climate and Energy Jānis Vitenbergs, Chairman of Bauska Municipality Council Aivars Mačeks, and other officials.
