Fuel price trends differ across Baltic capitals
Fuel prices in Riga, Vilnius and Tallinn moved in different directions last working week. Petrol was most expensive in Tallinn on Friday, while diesel was priciest in Vilnius.

Fuel prices in the capitals of the three Baltic states – Riga (Latvia), Vilnius (Lithuania) and Tallinn (Estonia) – moved in different directions last working week, according to data compiled by the news agency LETA from the fuel retailer Circle K. In some cities petrol and diesel became cheaper, in others more expensive.
At the end of the working week, petrol was most expensive in Tallinn, followed by Riga and Vilnius. Diesel cost the most in Vilnius, then Riga, and was cheapest in Tallinn.
Riga
At the Circle K station on Krasta Street in Riga, the price of 95-grade petrol fell by 1.7% over the week to 1.932 euros per litre on Friday. Diesel, by contrast, rose by 1.2% to 2.09 euros per litre.
Vilnius
At the Circle K station on Savanoriu Avenue in Vilnius, 95-grade petrol cost 1.909 euros per litre on Friday, 4% less than a week earlier. The diesel price dropped by 3.9% to 2.199 euros per litre.
Tallinn
At Circle K stations in Tallinn, the price of 95-grade petrol rose by 0.5% over the week to 1.959 euros per litre. Diesel cost 2.059 euros on Friday, which is 3.3% less than a week before.
Autogas
The price of autogas (liquefied petroleum gas used as vehicle fuel) increased in all three capitals during the week. It climbed fastest in Tallinn, by 8.7% to 1.077 euros per litre. In Riga it rose by 4.2% to 0.985 euros, and in Vilnius by 2.3% to 0.879 euros per litre.
