Representatives of the embassies of the Baltic states in Moscow have conducted a joint demarche at the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, categorically rejecting Moscow's claims that the Baltic countries allow their airspace to be used for drone attacks against targets in Russia. The diplomats referred to the joint statement by the Baltic foreign ministers on April 10, which already refuted such allegations. The Latvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasizes that despite the Baltic states' consistently expressed position, Russia continues to spread lies and escalate the situation.

During the demarche, the charge d'affaires also dismissed other false allegations recently made by officials of the Russian Foreign Ministry. They stressed that Latvia, Estonia, and Lithuania ensure full adherence to the rule of law in relation to all their citizens, and claims to the contrary are not based on facts. According to the Ministry, such statements are a deliberate attempt by Russia to spread disinformation. The embassy representatives also noted that the incursion of drones into Baltic airspace is a direct consequence of Russia's full-scale war of aggression against Ukraine.
