Barcelona thrash 'Europa' 4-1 in first pre-season friendly
FC Barcelona played their first pre-season friendly behind closed doors, defeating 'Europa' 4-1.

Barcelona kicked off their pre-season campaign with a 4-1 victory over 'Europa' in a behind-closed-doors friendly. Four different players found the net for the Catalan side.
Nineteen-year-old Malian midfielder Ibrahima Diarra opened the scoring in the 13th minute. Fellow 19-year-old Hector Fort doubled the lead just before the half-hour mark. 'Europa' pulled one back shortly before halftime.
Early in the second half, 16-year-old Ebrima Tunkara made it 3-1, and ten minutes later, 19-year-old Alex Gonzalez sealed the 4-1 win.
Barcelona's goalkeepers Wojciech Szczęsny and Marc-André ter Stegen shared duties. Several young talents featured, including Guillem Fernández, Hamza Abdelkarim, Brajan Farinhas, Andreas Christensen, Ibrahima Diarra, Gerard Martín, Roni Bardji, Jofre Torrents, Shane Kluivert, Marc Casadó, Tomi Marqués, and Alex Gonzalez.
New signing Karim Adeyemi, who recently joined from Borussia Dortmund for €22 million, was with the squad but did not play.
Upcoming friendlies for Barcelona include matches against Birmingham (July 31), Nottingham, and Udinese.
Other results: Como drew 2-2 with Paris in their UEFA Champions League debut, while Galatasaray lost 0-2 to Monza.
