Barcelona are reportedly monitoring Bayern Munich and England striker Harry Kane, 33, alongside Manchester City's Norway forward Erling Haaland, 26, as possible alternatives to Atletico Madrid and Argentina striker Julian Alvarez, 26.

Should Kane depart Bayern Munich, the German club are said to be considering Newcastle United and Germany forward Nick Woltemade, 24, currently out on loan at Juventus, as a potential replacement.

Manchester United have renewed their interest in Everton and England defender Jarrad Branthwaite, 24, following his recovery from injury.

Other moves

Arsenal are keeping an eye on young winger Rio Ngumoha, 18, though Liverpool are working to extend his contract. Tottenham remain keen on Nottingham Forest and England midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White, 26, despite Forest showing no willingness to sell.

Real Madrid forward Endrick, 20, could become available in the January window, with Manchester United among the clubs interested.

Spain midfielder Rodri thanked Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho for his earlier interest after Rodri instead moved from Manchester City to Barcelona over the summer. Barcelona sporting director Deco has also met with Brazilian forward Raphinha to discuss extending his contract, which currently runs until 2028.

AC Milan are reportedly close to making Omari Hutchinson's loan move from Nottingham Forest permanent, in a deal worth around 50 million euros.
