The Batman Part II rumors hint at darker, weirder villains
Recent rumors suggest that the sequel to 'The Batman' may feature villains such as the Court of Owls, Victor Zsasz, and Harvey Dent, along with potential casting shake-ups.

The sequel to Matt Reeves' 'The Batman' appears to be heading into even darker and stranger territory. According to reports from Hollywood insider Jeff Sneider, the main antagonist could be the Court of Owls – a sinister secret society of Gotham's elite that has never appeared in a live-action Batman film before. This would bring a fresh and ominous threat compared to the more grounded Riddler of the first film.
Casting rumors have also taken a twist. Sebastian Stan, initially rumored to play Harvey Dent/Two-Face, may now portray serial killer Victor Zsasz. Meanwhile, Brian Tyree Henry from 'Atlanta' is said to be in line for Harvey Dent, possibly without the character's transformation into Two-Face. Scarlett Johansson remains linked to the role of Gilda Dent, Harvey's wife.
Additionally, Barry Keoghan could return as the Joker, though his character might spend most of the film in Arkham Asylum, serving as Batman's version of Hannibal Lecter. These rumors remain unconfirmed, but they suggest that director Matt Reeves is doubling down on a more eccentric and grim interpretation of the Batman mythos.
