Road repair on Vītolu Street in Bauska begins today, traffic restrictions expected
Starting June 16, Bauska’s Vītolu Street will undergo road surface renewal, with temporary traffic restrictions in place. Local company SIA "Viona" is carrying out the work, which is expected to last until August.

The Bauska Municipality has announced that from June 16, repair works on the surface of Vītolu Street will commence. The works will be carried out by the local company SIA “Viona”.
During the construction, a temporary traffic management plan will be implemented, including stopping and parking restrictions on certain sections of the street. Residents are advised to move their vehicles to designated parking areas in advance, as parking within the work zone will not be permitted.
To minimize disruption, the works will be carried out in phases. The contractor will ensure access to properties and the movement of emergency vehicles, though occasional short-term traffic difficulties may occur. The temporary traffic arrangements are expected to remain in place until August, after which all temporary measures will be removed.
According to the municipality, the road surface renewal will improve driving conditions and road safety, providing residents with better and safer street infrastructure.
