Bauska Museum to Open Two New Art Exhibitions by Rolands Gross and Tatjana Paļčuka-Rikāne

Two Exhibitions in One Day

On August 1, the Bauska Museum invites visitors to the opening of two art exhibitions. The first, at 1:00 PM, is artist Rolands Gross's 70th anniversary exhibition titled "Signs of Time" (Laika zīmes). The second, at 2:00 PM, features painter Tatjana Paļčuka-Rikāne's works in an exhibition called "Insight" (Ieskats). Both events will include meet-and-greet opportunities with the artists.

Rolands Gross's Creative Journey

Rolands Gross is an emeritus professor at the Art Academy of Latvia and a long-time drawing instructor. The exhibition "Signs of Time" covers more than 40 years of his creative work. He employs various techniques such as watercolor, pastel, charcoal, oil painting, and others. His works feature memory fragments, architectural motifs, still lifes, portraits, and symbolic compositions, showcasing his technical mastery and consistent artistic style.

International Success of Tatjana Paļčuka-Rikāne

Tatjana Paļčuka-Rikāne, known internationally as Tatyana Palchuk, presents in "Insight" a refined and nuanced painting style centered on nature motifs, still lifes, and landscapes. She received a classical academic education and further developed her skills both in Latvia and abroad. Her works are distinguished by accomplished drawing, harmonious composition, and sophisticated color. In recent years, her work has gained significant international recognition, earning awards and being published in international art magazines. Her paintings are in public and private collections worldwide.
