Bauska Municipality plans to rent out five apartments in Saulaine to specialists
On August 27, Bauska Municipality Council will vote on granting five apartments in Saulaine to qualified specialists, a proposal already backed by the Finance Committee.

At its August 27 meeting, Bauska Municipality Council is set to decide on a draft resolution establishing special housing status for apartments rented to qualified specialists. Five such apartments are planned in Saulaine, at Saulaines Street 3. The council's Finance Committee already discussed the matter on August 20.
Edgars Paičs, head of the Bauska Municipality administration, explained that the law allows local governments to designate housing for specialists working in healthcare, social care, education, culture and engineering fields.
How the building is used
Following discussions with the Social Service, officials decided that five rooms in the building at Saulaines Street 3 would be suitable. The building has 36 residential rooms in total: 13 are used by the Social Service as offices, seven provide social and accommodation services, and six are rented to Ukrainian civilians. Five rooms are now planned to be designated for specialists, and negotiations with potential candidates are already underway.
Council member Ināra Pētersone asked about the condition of the apartments intended for housing. Paičs said they were in normal condition. Council members unanimously supported the decision.
