Bayern Munich concede first-half lead to relegated side in final pre-season test
Bayern Munich lost the first half of their final pre-season friendly against Bundesliga side Heidenheim before rallying to win in the second half. Munich face Dortmund in the German Super Cup on Saturday.

Bayern Munich fell behind in the first half of their last pre-season friendly before the new campaign, despite dominating possession throughout the match against Heidenheim.
As early as the fifth minute, 19-year-old Jannik Wagner put the home side ahead. Bayern equalized around the 25th minute through his fellow 19-year-old, Peruvian forward Felipe Chavez. However, just before halftime, Heidenheim regained the lead thanks to a goal from Julian Niehues.
Second half turnaround
After a rather subdued first half, Bayern Munich significantly improved their performance in the second period. The team scored three goals — Arijon Ibrahimovic turned the result in Bayern's favor in the 47th minute, while Luis Diaz and Nathanael Braun added further goals in the 78th and 83rd minutes respectively.
Heidenheim has already begun its new season with mixed results, having recorded a convincing 4:3 win over Osnabrück followed by a heavy 1:4 defeat to Hertha Berlin.
For Bayern Munich, this was the final test before major challenges ahead — the team recently defeated both Aston Villa (2:1) and Leipzig (3:1) in the UEFA Champions League. On Saturday, Munich will face Borussia Dortmund in the German Super Cup.
