BBC to air new thriller drama about the fall of Kabul
BBC Four airs a new drama tonight dramatising the 2021 fall of Kabul to the Taliban following the US troop withdrawal, part of a packed evening of UK television and film listings.
Tonight's UK television schedule features a new drama titled "Kabul," airing at 9pm on BBC Four, which dramatises the chain of events triggered when President Joe Biden decided to end America's longest war. As American forces withdrew from the Afghan capital, the Taliban moved in, bringing danger for women, dissidents and anyone who had worked with the occupying forces. The drama tells this story through the experience of the Nazany family, who must decide whether to stay in the country or attempt to flee.

At 7.30pm, BBC Two broadcasts a Proms concert marking 40 years since the release of Paul Simon's album "Graceland," held at the Royal Albert Hall and featuring South African choral group Ladysmith Black Mambazo alongside Laura Mvula and James Bay.
