Bellingham double sends England past Norway into World Cup semis
Jude Bellingham scored twice as England came from behind to beat Norway 2-1 after extra time in the World Cup quarterfinals, setting up a semifinal clash against Argentina or Switzerland.

Bellingham's brilliance saves England again
Jude Bellingham continued his heroic run at the World Cup by scoring two goals to lead England to a 2-1 extra-time victory over Norway in the quarterfinals on Saturday.
Norway shocked the Three Lions by taking an early lead through Andreas Schjelderup in the scorching Miami heat. However, Bellingham equalized just before halftime with a moment of individual brilliance.
In the second half, Norway had a goal controversially disallowed after a VAR check ruled that Erling Haaland had fouled Elliott Anderson in the buildup. With the score tied, the match went to extra time, where Bellingham pounced on a mistake by Norway goalkeeper Orjan Nyland to score the winner.
Tough conditions and tactical changes
The game was played in extreme heat and humidity, with temperatures exceeding 30°C (86°F). England manager Thomas Tuchel made halftime substitutions, bringing on Bukayo Saka and Eberechi Eze, but admitted his side was fortunate to win, citing sloppy play and technical errors.
Norway's Haaland, who had scored in 14 consecutive competitive matches, was substituted at halftime of extra time after a quiet performance. England will now face either Argentina or Switzerland in the semifinals as they aim for their first World Cup final appearance in 60 years.
