Latvian Time Trial Championships in Priekuļi

The Latvian National Time Trial Championships took place on Monday in Priekuļi, attracting 214 participants across all age groups. Unlike the previous three years held on the Biķernieki track, the event was held on a road course.

In the men's elite race over 34 km, Kristiāns Belohvoščiks (Bike Aid) claimed his first elite national title. He finished ahead of Kārlis Klismets, who took silver, and Kristers Kovgers, who earned bronze. Raivis Belohvoščiks, Kristiāns' father and a former world championship fourth-place finisher, came in fourth.

In the women's 17 km race, Dana Rožlapa won her tenth national title. Starting last, she crossed the finish line first. Kitija Siltumēna repeated as silver medalist, while Madara Āboma took bronze for the third consecutive year.

In the U23 category, Jēkabs Olivers Skrapcis successfully defended his title. Among juniors, Georgs Tjumins won the boys' race, continuing his winning streak since 2022, while Kate Skujiņa edged out Linda Brilte by 1.5 seconds in the girls' race.

In the amateur and master categories, Ģirts Vēvers was the fastest man overall, and Krista Pūcīte dominated the women's field. Multiple-time Latvian group race champion Aleksejs Saramotins participated outside the competition.
