The BenQ W4100i is a $2,999 projector ($2,799 on sale) aimed at home theater enthusiasts. It stands out for its rich colors, excellent contrast, and a dedicated filmmaker mode that creates a cinematic viewing experience. The projector also supports 24 fps playback, giving movies an authentic look.

With 3,200 lumens of brightness, it performs well even in rooms that aren't completely dark. It covers 100% of both Rec.709 and DCI-P3 color gamuts and supports HDR10+. Setup is easy via Android TV, though iPhone users face a slightly more complex process.

However, the W4100i lags behind rivals like the Leica Cine Play 1 and Epson Pro Cinema LS9000 in color accuracy. For example, green grass appeared slightly brown in some scenes, and skin tones lacked subtlety. On the other hand, contrast and detail in dark scenes were outstanding.

Gaming on the W4100i is highly immersive, with 240 Hz refresh rate and high resolution providing smooth, lifelike motion. The image remained clear and visible even during daytime use.

Overall, the BenQ W4100i is a strong contender in the home projector market, offering excellent picture quality at a competitive price, though it is surpassed by more expensive models in certain aspects.
