Bentley has officially confirmed the name and premiere date of its first electric vehicle. The new model, named Torcal after the El Torcal de Antequera nature park in Spain, will be unveiled on September 23.

The Torcal will become Bentley's fourth standalone model line, joining the Continental GT, Flying Spur, and Bentayga. CEO Frank-Steffen Walliser called it one of the most carefully developed cars in the company's history, set to establish new standards in its class.

While full technical details remain undisclosed, it is known that the Torcal will measure under five meters in length, positioning it below the Bentayga in the lineup. It will be built on the same 800-volt electric platform as the upcoming Porsche Cayenne Electric, enabling very fast charging: approximately seven minutes to add enough energy for about 160 kilometers of range.

The Torcal is expected to feature a roughly 108 kWh battery, with a range between 483 and 563 kilometers. All versions will have dual electric motors and all-wheel drive, with power output ranging from approximately 402 to 1,139 horsepower.

Bentley emphasizes that the Torcal will not replace the Bentayga; both models will be sold alongside each other. The company has also confirmed that a next-generation Bentayga with an internal combustion engine is expected by the end of the decade, as the brand pursues a gradual transition to a fully electric lineup.
